I was born and raised in the Bay Area and have spent more than six years working as a therapist and medical social worker in a variety of settings, including healthcare systems, schools, and community-based programs. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals across the lifespan, which has given me a broad understanding of the unique challenges people face at different stages of life.
I earned my Master’s Degree from California State University, East Bay, and specialize in supporting individuals experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, grief, and work or life stressors that impact overall well-being. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed, with a focus on helping clients process difficult experiences, build resilience, and develop practical tools to navigate life's challenges. My goal is to create a supportive space where you feel understood, empowered, and equipped to move toward healing and lasting growth.
Growing up in Los Angeles most of my life therapy, social work, and mental health were taboo subjects. Similarly, within my Mexican culture being a Male I was expected to be strong and persevere through the trauma. However, the world doesn’t make it easy for today’s youth to succeed. But if I can do it, so can you! As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I aim to reinforce your youth’s resilience to face their anxiety, depression, process their traumas, and more to help reach their goals.
Hi, I’m Dr. Jackie, a licensed marriage and family therapist. I believe healing happens when people feel truly seen, safe, and understood. I work with individuals, couples, and teens navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in helping you reconnect with your strengths and move forward with clarity and hope.
Welcome! I'm Karen Jasso, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with over 5 years of experience in helping individuals navigate life's challenges. I received my masters degree in Clinical Psychology, California State University, Bakersfield.
I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationships, and self-worth and self-esteem. I am passionate about supporting my clients' journeys toward healing and personal growth I provide a culturally sensitive, bilingual space where we work to reduce symptoms, build self-esteem, and create lasting change through healthy coping, boundaries, and routines. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy hiking, reading, painting, and running (for fun!). I believe in the importance of self-care and strive to bring balance and mindfulness into my own life. These interests not only rejuvenate me but also help guide me in my practice.
I'm here to help you heal old wounds that continue to play out in the present. Have you noticed patterns that keep repeating? Maybe you feel stuck somewhere you don't belong (in depression, relationship conflict or anxiety). I have 25 years experience working with adults, elders and adolescents. I specialize in trauma recovery, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, workplace stress and parenting support.
I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine human relationship. My goal is to create an environment where you feel accepted, challenged, and supported—not judged. I'll celebrate your successes with you, help you make sense of the difficult moments, and gently point out the patterns that may be holding you back. I bring curiosity, humor, and compassion into my work because meaningful growth doesn't have to happen in a room that feels cold or intimidating.
