I believe in creating a safe and welcoming place for people to discover themselves. I have 20 years of experience working with adults and adolescents in many different treatment settings. I specialize in issues related to addiction, but feel like I can be supportive and helpful to a wide range of people with different perspectives and challenges.
I work collaboratively with individuals to recognize their strengths, values, and changes they want to make. My approach to therapy blends my unique background in both social work and clinical psychology. Personally, I was born and raised in San Diego and branched out to gain unique experiences, and ultimately settled back home. Other interesting facts include that I played collegiate soccer, try to exercise when I’m not spending time with family, and am an avid hip hop fan.

Fun fact: I'm a proud boy mom—my son and even our pup are boys! Living in a house full of boys has taught me flexibility, resilience, and a good sense of humor, so not much scares me.
My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and never judged. I work with adults and young adults who are dealing with anxiety, past trauma, relationship stress, life transitions, or the feeling of being overwhelmed while trying to keep everything together. Together, we focus on helping you make sense of your experiences, build on your strengths, and move toward real, lasting change. I use approaches like EMDR, CBT, and DBT, and for those who desire it, I can also incorporate faith into the process.

I am a queer-identified, sex-positive psychologist experienced in working with a spectrum of sexual orientations, identities, and relationships. I help individuals and couples interested in discussing kink and consensual non-monogamy.
I also specialize in treating OCD (including "Pure O"), specific phobias, social anxiety, and relationship anxiety. My approach combines evidence-based exposure therapy to help reduce symptoms and break patterns of avoidance with deeper exploratory work aimed at understanding the underlying fears, beliefs, and experiences that contribute to anxiety. By addressing both the symptoms and their roots, I help clients create lasting change and greater freedom in their lives.
For individuals with OCD, I offer both Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT). If ERP doesn't feel like the right fit for you, or if you're interested in an alternative approach, I-CBT can be an effective treatment that targets the reasoning processes underlying obsessive doubt.
I currently accept insurance for group therapy only and have two OCD-focused groups with openings available.
