I grew up in MA. I went to both public and catholic schools. I earned a 2nd degree black belt from Premier Martial Arts. I earned a BA in Psychology from UML. I worked at a group home for teenagers, then one for adult men with schizophrenia. I worked as a support and then a lead teacher at a day program for adults with developmental disabilities. There, I learned a lot about Behaviorism and ABA. I was then able to work as a clinician as I finished my graduate degree.
I earned my graduate degree at Fitchburg State University. I did my internship at the Community Health Center in Fitchburg. I worked in community mental health before venturing out on my own.
The decision to start therapy is a courageous one. I create an open and safe environment for you to embark on your therapeutic journey. In my practice I take a strength-based approach to help you learn and grow. I am interested in exploring who you are as an individual and helping you get where you want to be. I earned my Master’s in Counseling and Psychology from Lesley University, where I received comprehensive training in evidence-based therapeutic approaches. I continue to stay current in the field through ongoing professional development and training.
My areas of specialization include anxiety and depressive disorders, trauma, mood disorders, self-esteem, or relationship issues. I often draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs and goals of the individual.
