I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself. I believe healing can happen through both meaningful conversations and moments of humor. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, identity, or simply feeling stuck, I'm here to help you feel understood, empowered, and genuinely connected to yourself. If any of this resonates, I'd love to connect.
You hold the world together for everyone else. But balancing the complex demands of caretaking, family crises, or supporting a child's disability means your own needs have likely taken a backseat.
My goal is to give you that space back. I bring a grounded, warm presence (and a little humor) to the therapeutic process. Together, we can actively untangle the overwhelm or create a quiet space for profound realizations. Let's talk about how to get you feeling grounded again.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing trauma-informed therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, and patterns that may no longer be serving them. My professional background includes work in outpatient behavioral health settings, where I’ve worked with clients experiencing complex trauma, attachment wounds, and longstanding relational patterns that may contribute to various mental health concerns. Clients often come to therapy feeling stuck in cycles of people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, self-criticism, unhealthy relationship dynamics, or difficulty understanding why they react the way they do. Together, we work to identify where these patterns originate and develop healthier, more intentional ways of responding.
Michelle received her Master’s Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice from Columbia University School of Social Work. She has experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, self esteem and familial issues. Michelle utilizes a client centered, relational, and strengths-based approach in her practice and is knowledgeable in CBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness and solution focused therapy. Michelle works with adolescents as well as adults, and interventions are tailored to each individual’s needs.
I have trained in the psychodynamic field but have since enlarged my area of practice into more interventional modalities
I’m Stephanie Jairam, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner. I work with adults and adolescents navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, insomnia, PTSD, PMDD, OCD, and other mood-related concerns who are seeking supportive, effective treatment.
My background in healthcare gives me a well-rounded perspective. I take a holistic approach, recognizing the close connection between mental and physical health. I’m known for being collaborative, non-judgmental, and thorough, and I strive to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported throughout your care.
Our sessions will begin at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I specialize in an integrative, holistic approach to depression, anxiety, trauma, and coping with life challenges. My therapeutic approach blends humanistic, mindfulness, somatic work, deep spiritual inquiry, CBT, and psychodynamic therapy, tailored to each client’s unique experiences.
I’m Theo Bizimana, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Daystar University in Nairobi, Kenya, and an Advanced Certificate in Mental Health Counseling from the University at Buffalo. I bring more than 17 years of experience supporting individuals and communities, including over 11 years of work focused on community trauma in East Africa and 6 years of clinical experience in the United States.
I believe that everyone deserves to be heard, regardless of their background or circumstances. Whether you are struggling with excessive worry or negative thoughts, overwhelmed by schoolwork as a student, supporting a family member with autism or developmental disability, or facing challenges as a member of a marginalized group in society, it is common to feel hopeless and worthless at times. However, you do not have to give in to these feelings.
"With over 20 years of experience as both a licensed LMFT and LMHC in New York, I offer a unique, dual-lens perspective on mental health and systemic family dynamics. Throughout my two decades of practice, I have remained dedicated to providing evidence-based, compassionate care that helps clients thrive in their personal lives and their relationships. I am here to help you navigate your journey with the professional insight and personal support you need to move forward."
