Welcome! I’m Shey, an IFS-informed therapist who wishes to help you navigate the journey from unhealed trauma to meaningful personal growth. We don’t have to wait for a crisis to put on our own “oxygen masks.” I’ve learned the hard way how essential it is to care for ourselves first—nurturing our well-being so we can show up fully in our lives.
Hi! I use a calm & laid back approach to help you identify and meet your goals for therapy. I am trained in evidence based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy & Motivational Interviewing.
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist who integrates clinical expertise with Christian values to support emotional healing, resilience, and personal growth. I believe that true healing occurs when mind, body, and spirit are nurtured together. My work focuses on helping clients manage stress, regulate emotions and move forward with hope, faith, and intention while honoring each individual's unique journey.
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida and my graduate studies at the University of South Carolina. Throughout my career, I have served diverse populations, including children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults. Services are provided to individuals who are physically in the states of SC, FL, GA, PA and OH.
In my spare time I enjoy traveling and spending quality time with my family and friends.
I have 30+ years as an experienced counselor in a variety of settings. I have worked over the years in home, school, community, residential, hospital and outpatient settings. My therapy is based on a Gestalt approach as well as advanced trainings in Bipolar, DBT, and nutrition and mental health, strength-based therapy, and relationship dynamics. I love to use visualization techniques as well as incorporate current research solutions, workbooks, and training materials into my current practice.
The strongest thing someone can do is ask for and accept help. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my goal is to support as many persons in reaching their treatment goal in as a productive and growth mindset way possible. I believe it is important to utilize my education and social work and experience in PHP level of care to support and educate individuals surrounding Mental Health. I have 3 years experience within a partial hospitalization programming system and have experience working with a wide range of Mental Health diagnosis. These opportunities have given me experience in working with individuals who could benefit from support with self-esteem, depression, anxiety, school and work stress as well as crisis management.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just trying to find your footing during a difficult season of life, I want you to know you don't have to navigate it alone.
My own story began in the Dominican Republic, and I was raised in the heart of the Bronx, NY. Growing up between two distinct worlds gave me a deep appreciation for culture, identity, and the unique stories we all carry. Because of this, I am proud to offer a completely bilingual space, holding therapy sessions in both English and Spanish.
With over 10 years of experience as a therapist, my main goal is to make sure you feel seen, safe, and truly understood. I don't believe in a "one-size-fits-all" approach to mental health. Instead, we work together to help you find balance, heal from the past, and build a life that feels genuinely good to live.
Hi y'all, I'm Malanna, rhymes with Madonna! I’m quite the unorthodox therapist, so I’ve been told, because I approach mental health with the same sincerity that we take with our physical health. I have a lot of respect and appreciation for the people who sit in front of me and trust me with their vulnerability. I'm big on cooperation; pairing your self-insights with my expertise. I'll do my best to help you highlight all of your hidden strengths, buried wins, and natural gifts that life can make us lose sight of! I currently offer telehealth services but I can guarantee it’ll be just as good as seeing me in person!
I am a native of Chile, having lived in the USA for almost 30 years. I obtained my Masters in Counseling Psychology at Temple University in 2007 and I am bicultural and bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish. I have advanced training in Systemic Trauma Therapy at the IFIV institute in Spain, and I have completed Level 2 Internal Family Systems (IFS) as well as having been a Program Assistant a few times in trainings by the IFS Institute. IFS is a non-pathologizing, evident based, effective, and the most respectful and compassionate approach I have come across in all these almost 20 years of clinical practice; "All parts are welcome", is IFS's motto. All of you is welcome.
My varied experiences, as an art teacher, middle school counselor, and college professor, has informed my approach to therapy. I would like to help you help yourself, by guiding, supporting and brainstorming strategies to confront and reduce your concerns. I use empathy, creativity and humor to guide us through the process.
I’m a licensed psychologist with over 30 years of experience with adolescents, adults, and families. I have a doctorate in clinical psychology with a specialty in family therapy, and have worked in residential substance abuse, college counseling, and private practice settings since 1980, as a general practitioner and from an integrative culturally-sensitive orientation.
